Job Description
About the position
Sun Metals is welcoming an experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join our Electrical Maintenance Team due to the plant's expansion. This will be continuous shift role day & night shifts working on the lifestyle roster – with 2 weekends on & 2 weekends off. During the 12hr shift you will be working with 1 other Electrical Tradesperson. There are 4 Crews. Shift coverage & overtime is also available. This position reports to the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader.
Key responsibilities will include:
Plant Electrical Breakdowns & Priority works.
Troubleshoot a wide variety of electrical motor control systems.
Troubleshoot various instruments used in Process control.
Ability to prioritise work in demanding situations.
Carry out switching of HV equipment when required.
Working with Process Operators and other Trades.
Interpret various Electrical, pneumatic and P&ID drawings.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
Desired Skills and Experience
You will meet the following criteria:
Relevant Electrical Trade Certificate with post trade experience.
Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic licence issued by the Queensland Electrical Safety Office.
Experience in a refinery or similar heavy industry is desirable.
Strong safety focus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy with MS Word and Excel.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work continuous shift work on the lifestyle roster, this roster is made up of 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off including day and night shifts
Shift Coverage & Overtime is required from time to time.
