About the Role
As a Sales Administration Officer, you will play an important role in supporting Sun Metals' domestic and export sales activities. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and external logistics providers, you will help ensure accurate sales, inventory, production and shipping information is maintained and that products are delivered efficiently to customers.
This is a varied role that combines sales administration, inventory management, logistics coordination, reporting, documentation and commercial support.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile accurate sales, inventory, production and off-site warehousing data within the JD Edwards ERP system and relevant monthly reports.
Prepare and process domestic and export sales documentation, including shipping documents, packing lists, sales invoices, weight certificates and assay certificates.
Check and record daily production figures and assist with monthly production and shipping plans.
Report weekly accounts receivable information to Finance to support cashflow monitoring and timely customer payments.
Reconcile monthly sales data for metals, acid, concentrates and by-products with Operations and Finance.
Assist with cost reviews associated with trucking, rail and shipping activities.
Maintain accurate physical and electronic records relating to metal products and sales activities.
Coordinate and organise the distribution of product samples where required.
Dispatch original shipping documentation as required.
Work collaboratively with other Sales Officers and provide support across the wider Sales function.
Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained to support business decisions and compliance with organisational procedures, legislation and relevant systems.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant industry practices, professional standards and ethical requirements.
Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by management.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and commercially minded individual who enjoys working with data, documentation and multiple internal stakeholders.
You will ideally have:
Certificate in Administration or similar.
An Export Certificate or Diploma would be advantageous.
A current Driver's Licence and own Transport is desirable.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, particularly within commodities, sales, logistics, inventory or a related environment.
Experience preparing, checking and reconciling sales, production, inventory, shipping and finance-related data.
Experience working with internal stakeholders such as Operations and Finance.
Experience or knowledge of inventory management, shipping, transport and distribution processes.
An understanding of domestic and export sales documentation requirements, preferably in relation to metal products or commodities.
Experience with ERP and inventory management systems; knowledge of JD Edwards ERP would be highly regarded.
