Overview of Position
Responsible for supporting, analysing, and maintaining IT application systems, particularly ERP systems, to ensure they effectively support business operations. The role focuses on system reliability, user support, and continuous improvement of business processes through effective use of IT systems.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for the JDE ERP system in accordance with operational requirements.
Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to improve system utilisation and efficiency.
Configure, maintain, and support ERP and related application systems to meet business needs.
Perform regular system monitoring, ensuring integrity, availability, and performance of application systems.
Review system and application logs and ensure completion of scheduled tasks.
Perform diagnosis, escalation, follow-through, and resolution of application and system issues.
Support system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning activities.
Perform business process analysis and design to improve the overall business processes in accordance with the operational requirements.
Provide user support and training to ensure effective use of application systems.
Maintain user access, roles, and basic system administration activities.
Assist in testing, implementation, and documentation of system changes and enhancements.
Create and maintain technical procedures and user documentation.
Liaise with external vendors to support issue resolution and system improvements.
Ensure systems operate in compliance with organisational IT policies and procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within IT and across business processes.

About You
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
Knowledge
Understanding of ERP systems (preferably JDE) and enterprise application environments.
Knowledge of business processes within industrial/manufacturing environments is desirable.
Understanding of system integration concepts and data flows.
Basic knowledge of database structures and querying concepts (e.g., SQL).
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and enterprise IT environments.
Skills

Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

3+ years' experience in application support or ERP environments.
Experience supporting business-critical IT systems in an operational environment.
